Shift Cable Adjustment

To protect the sub transmission, keep the cable adjusted. To access the cable adjustment, simply remove the push pins around the console and remove it. There are 2 types of push pins you will encounter. The pull out type can be removed easily with push pin pliers that are only a few dollars at Harbor Freight. The other type you will find is flat on top, to remove those use a Philips screwdriver or a small blunt metal rod to press in the center pin, you will have to push hard to get it to release.

The instructions to make the adjustment are below. I personally "cheat" my shifter forward very slightly from what the instructions say, and find it gives a little more positive engagement. Do not let the length of instructions fool you, this procedure really actually only takes around 10 minutes.
